TurtleBeach Headsets Compatible With PS4 On Day One

Sony recently reported that Playstation 4 will not support already existing headsets out of the box, be it Bluetooth or USB until a firmware update is released that will remedy this issue. However, TurtleBeach is ahead of the curve and by the time the Playstation 4 releases they will have four surround-sound headsets already on the market ready to go with the new console.

The following headsets have been confirmed by TurtleBeach’s David Lowey to work with the Playstation 4 by TurtleBeach via an alternate path for voice which will plug right into the Dualshock 4.  Those with the Dual Wifi and Audio Processing are on the higher end of headsets if you are looking for a premium headset.

Ear Force PX4 -Dolby Digital Surround-Sound. Up to 15 hours of wireless play.

Ear Force XP510- Dual-Band WiFi, Dual-Stage Audio Processing for Dolby Digital Surround Sound, and also up to 15 hours of wireless play.

Ear Force PX51 -Dual-Band WiFi, Dual-Stage Audio Processing for Dolby Digital Surround Sound, and also up to 15 hours of wireless play
Limited Edition Call Of Duty Phantom (510 Series)-Dual-Band WiFi, Dual-Stage Audio Processing for Dolby Digital Surround Sound, and also up to 15 hours of wireless play.

Great to see that a company is already ahead of the curve with future-proofing their product. Plus the recently announced Phantom being compatible would make for an awesome gift for a Call Of Duty fan who picks up a new console and Ghosts.
