Having recently revealed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunts is on the way – promising to be 20 percent bigger than Skyrim - it seems that CD Projekt RED will be making this Geralt’s final adventure.
Revealed via the latest issue of GameInformer, Edge Magazine are reporting that the Polish developer have claimed in an official press release that Wild Hunts will be the last entry into The Witcher series.
“We believe that we should end the series on a high note. Technology has progressed to where we can finally tell the story the way we want, with the visuals we want, in the world we imagined,” says studio head Adam Badowski in a press release about Wild Hunts. “We believe it’s time for us to look to new worlds and new horizons to keep pushing the boundaries of what we can create.”
Could this mean they have a new title they wish to create alongside Cyberpunk 2077, or perhaps they’re just wanting to focus on one series at a time from here on out?
They did put up a rather lovely reveal trailer – although it shows nothing of what you can expect.
