Today it was revealed that CD Projekt RED’s newest title, the one they’ve secretly been alluding to since the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, is in fact The Witcher 3 – just like everyone expected.
Unveiled in the latest issue of GameInformer – which is now available to subscribers digitally - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adorned the cover, pushing it as an open-world game that is an eye-watering 30 times larger than The Witcher 2 and 20 percent bigger than that of Skyrim.
It’ll utilise the REDengine 3 technology that CD Projekt unveiled last week – which makes sense after the press release kept hinting at an open-world nonlinear adventure.
Wild Hunt is set to release in 2014 on “all high-end platforms available”, which is highly suggestive towards it being a completely next-generation title.
GameInformer also state that Wild Hunt is completely free of loading screens, sees Geralt have his memory back, and is an utterly standalone sequel that takes in “non-linear plotlines and difficult decisions.”
