A new Mario and Donkey Kong title was announced by Nintendo today in their latest Nintendo Direct. The new title will be a downloadable title obtainable via the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Meant as a spin-off to the Mario Vs Donkey Kong titles, this one features Donkey Kong teaming up as the good guy with Pauline to run a game arcade (shh don’t question it, it’s Nintendo’s logic).

It’ll contain over 180 levels for you to take on and beat, which is pretty impressive stuff for a downloadable game. You’ll be able to control 5 different toys throughout your playthrough; Mini Mario, Mini Princess Peach, Mini Pauline, Mini Toad and finally, Mini Donkey Kong.

It’ll contain a very interesting and quite unique level editor for you to utilise during play-through.

An official release date has not yet been announced but you can expect to see it in the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2013.
