Nintendo ended their Nintendo Direct broadcast by announcing that they would be bringing the Retro Studios developed Donkey Kong Country Returns from the Wii U and release it on the 3DS as Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.

It’s been built from the ground up to ensure it works perfectly on 3DS and is no doubt highly anticipated by many 3DS owners.

Because it’s so reportedly spectacular, Nintendo didn’t show any game footage. Instead we were treated to three small images while they made a promise to upload a gameplay trailer to the Nintendo eShop soon – just so we can see it running as Nintendo gods intended.
