Square Enix is pleased to show off some new screenshots of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Showcasing some impressive visuals, these screenshots show the return of heroine Lightning and the detailed environments of Luxerion – a divine city of light and prayer. They also show the action-oriented combat system that this sequel has to offer with new enemies and monsters – something you can also have a glimpse of in the latest trailer.
