Activision have renamed their The Walking Dead first-person shooter so it no longer confuses us with Telltale game’s rather sublime series.

Now named The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts, as revealed in a post on AMC’s website, the previously announced game will continue on as is.

Being developed by BloodRayne developer Terminal Reality, it follows the path of brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon in rural Georgia as they survive the undead masses. Interestingly you don’t actually have to go in guns blazing.

The Walkind Dead: Survival Instincts will hit PS3, Xbox 360 and PC sometime in 2013.
