The Dempamen: They came by Wave, and it wasn’t pretty.
Last night’s Nintendo Direct lended itself to a quick-fire focus on this quickly little 3DS RPG – The “Denpamen”: They Came by Wave. For those who don’t know about the it’s a simple – if not difficult – tradition Turn-Based RPG where your fighters are the colourful little men you find floating around during your commute to work, trip to the store, or hanging from a classic 1800s lamp in your favorite watering hole. Using the 3DS’s outer cameras you’ll begin to look through the screen as if it were Google’s ‘Glass’ concept but with men floating around rather than getting handy location tips and calls from your mum.
Basically, you search for Denpaman to befriend (with a net) and have them fight through monster-filled dungeons. Simple? Yes! Odd? Certainly so! And the trailer just makes thinks even weirder.
The “Denpa” Men: They Came by Wave released on the US eShop last month. The Nintendo Direct stream confirmed a European release is set for sometime this year.
