Last week a trailer arrived for a rather interesting cell shaded ninja zombie slashing game, it appears this is a new game from Tecmo Koei.

Revealed during Tecmo Koei’s TGS 2012 conference, and following on from the announcement that Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 2 will be hitting PS Vita, this zombie slasher title has been named Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.

The game is a collaboration with Kenji Inafune’s company Spark Unlimited and Team Ninja. It’ll star Ryu Hayabusa and features cel-shaded visuals ripe for zombie slashing fun.

While it may not sound groundbreaking, you have to remember that Inafune helped create MegaMan and brought the world DeadRising and Onimusha - he knows zombies, and he knows hack and slash.
