The Bard’s Tale hit consoles and PC back in 2004 and then made it’s way over to iOS, Mac and even OnLive, and now InXile Entertainment have finally announced that it’s hitting Tegra 3-Powered Android devices.
“We’ve had numerous requests for an Android version, and we are grateful for NVIDIA’s support in helping us bring The Bard’s Tale to gamers on Android,” said Brian Fargo, CEO of inXile Entertainment.
As this is a game intended for Tegra 3 devices there’s also an option to play with high-def graphics so you’ll get the best out of it if you own a supported device.
“NVIDIA’s Tegra chipset provides the advanced power to display the high-resolution graphics of the original console version of The Bard’s Tale on today’s tablet devices,” said Stephane Jacoby, Technical Director of Square One Games, developer of the iOS, Mac, and now Android versions of The Bard’s Tale.
In The Bard’s Tale for Android you’ll get the original PC classic The Bard’s Tale I: Tales of the Unknown and the sequels II and III will be added in the coming months. The Android release also supports GameCircle and OpenFeint so you can gain achievements and track progress with friends.
The Bard’s Tale will be supported on these Tegra 3 devices:
- Google Nexus tablets and phones (excluding the Nexus One)
- Asus Eee Pad Transformer family
- HTC One & Evo phone families
- Samsung Galaxy S & Tab families
- Motorola Droid & friends

- And many more…
It’s available now on GooglePlay, TegraZone and Amazon App Store.
