Another week, another set of downloadable goods to your Nintendo devices. This week we have DLC, retro Zelda, puzzles, motion gaming, simulations and, most importantly, Metal Slug!

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link hits the 3DS eShop today. It may not be the classic top-down puzzle adventure game we came to love from Link’s first outing, but the switch to a side-scrolling action RPG makes for some interesting gameplay if you’re backtracking from the more traditional Zelda format. It’s available for £4.50 (Though 3DS ambassadors got it for free almost a year ago)

Secondly we have a new batch of DLC for Square Enix’s popular rythem game, Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy. At £0.90p per track, 4 new songs have hit the store today: Somnus (FFC-FMS), Gustaberg (FF11 – FMS), The Battle for Freedom (FF12 – BMS), Final Battle (FF10 – BMS)

The 3DS also gets a reworked version of mobile game Crazy Kangaroo priced at £3.60. This version uses the motion as its key mechanic.

In demo land we a free version of Shifting World, Rising Star Games’ new puzzle platformer to blow an hour or so on should nothing tickle your fancy this week.

Not forgetting about DSiWare, you folk with your smooth, matte DSi consoles can download Bookstore Dream for just £1.80. If you’ve ever had the odd dream of managing your own bookstore, this simulation title will allow you to live that dream without actually being surrounded by too much text.

And last of all, we saved the one we feel everyone should download as soon as they get home; Metal Slug X. Nobody can deny the hilarious enjoyment that comes from a co-op session of Namco’s classic side-scrolling shooter, and for just 900 points it’s an absolute steal.
That’s about it for the Nintendo Download this week. Take your pick!
