Announced during the European Nintendo Wii U presentation, Capcom are bringing Monster Hunter 3 to the Wii U with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
Playing out in largely the same fashion as always, you take on the role of a hunter and go out to explore the world hunting monsters and completing quests to improve your skills and upgrades. This time though there are even more challenging monsters and over 200 quests available, making it the most expansive offering in the series yet, and all in glorious HD.
Utilising the Wii U console and the 3DS, you can play much more intuitively through the use of both the 3DS’ and GamePad’s touchscreen to manage inventory and use objects.
If you’re running on the 3DS version you’ll be able to exchange your guild card with other players via StreetPass and utilise four-player local co-op.
Those playing on Wii U can join the hunt with Nintendo 3DS players too via local wireless connections and if you own both you’ll be able to continue playing from where you left off be it back in the comfort of your house or on the go.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is set for a March 2013 release.
