Microsoft Hiring for Forza 5

September 25th, 2012

Microsoft’s Gran Turismo rival Forza Motorsport is getting a new instalment with Forza Horizon but it seems that Turn 10 are looking to hire for the “next version of Forza Motorsport.”

A job advert for a Software Development Engineer at Turn 10 is required to work on the next Forza title, it is unknown if this will be a full sequel to Forza 4 or if it’ll be another Forza Horizon.

“We are Turn 10 Studios and we need you for the next version of Forza Motorsport,” reads the advert.

It appears the core duties will revolve around working on creating a stable multiplayer system, suggesting that something new or drastically different is being implemented into the games design.

“We are looking for a strong senior software engineer to own the testing of our multiplayer networking system. You’ll be working directly with your counterparts in dev, design, and PM to design and build a secure, reliable and scalable multiplayer system. You will also be responsible for efficiently leveraging contingent staff to accomplish your tasks.”

Nothing is mentioned about working on a Next-Generation title or console, so it may seem that the next Forza could well be on 360 too. That or the job ad being on Microsoft’s own careers site means they won’t mention something as sensitive as that.
