True fans may have known of its existence since the Japanese release of Pokemon Black & White, but Nintendo have only made its existence official near the release of the games’ sequel. Finally they’re giving Pokemon trainers the opportunity to catch the elusive pokemon, Genesect.
Promised to those who purchase Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2 and connect up to Nintendo’s online services before Nov. 12 will get fossil-restored Pokemon beamed straight to their game. Sadly we’re unsure whether the distribution triggers an in-game event leading to you claiming the mythical Pokemon, or whether it’ll just be waiting for you in the PokeCentre as you boot up the game. We hope the former, but it’s most likely the latter.
Genesect, the newly discovered Mythical Pokémon, has been restored from a 300-million-year-old fossil. Modified by Team Plasma, this Pokémon has a signature move called Techno Blast. Genesect is the only known Pokémon with this move. Genesect is a Bug- and Steel-type Pokémon with the ability to adjust its power levels based on the foe it’s battling.
