For those of you who haven’t heard the news just yet, Blizzard have begun the closed beta test phase for the first expansion to StarCraft II – Heart of the Swarm.

Much like many of Blizzard’s other beta test programs, you can only opt-in with your Battle.net account to register your interest. From there, they’ll use your system spec information to determine your fate. They look for a wide range of PC specifications to get a solid reading of performence data in the long run, so don’t expect your mega machine to guarentee you access. You just have to pray to the Pandaren manning the stations over at Blizzard HQ.

Log into the Blizzard website with your Battle.net account and click Account Management to opt into the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm beta.
