It seems like only yesterday Blizzard unleased patch 1.0.4 onto the Diablo III community, and to be honest, it wasn’t that long ago. Nevertheless, Blizzard have already thrown out the patch notes for the 1.0.5 update and things are looking pretty good for players of any level.
Behind the typical bug fixes and class tweaks lies a little something for you level 60 veterans, the Inferno Machine. Once constructed (much like the whimyshire staff) this contraption will open up a portal to a land containing alternate versions of some of Sanctuary’s more nerfarious boss encounters will severely increased difficulty for professionals to tackle. They’ll be rewarded well for their efforts – too should they survive – with the components of a new Legendary grade ring up for grabs too.
Players still leveling will now be able to tweak the difficulty of the game more to their liking with the introduction of the ‘Monster Power’ system. This new modifiing tool will allow players to change the difficulty of monster encounters both up and down regardless of the current playthrough difficulty. Think of it as a handicap system. Experience and item drops will be modified based on the changes too. Blizzard are calling it the ‘Players 8′ system from Diablo II.
