Normally we hate these announcement about an incoming announcement, that will probably announce another announcement is on the way; however after spotting this rather casual tease over on the EU PS Blog comments thread we couldn’t resist getting just a tiny bit excited.
When one poster, Gooders_Go, asked what had become of the PS Vita release of Just Add Water’s Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD after it missed its proposed release date and no word had been spoken about it in a while, he received a reply from studio founder Stewart Gilray.
Gilray’s reply didn’t go into an awful lot of detail, however it did make a teasing statement that Just Add Water plan to make an announcement during Gamescom.
“Actually we said we’d hoped to have it finished around the end of June. Whilst we’re now at the start of August, we will be making some announcements around GamesCom in a couple of weeks…
“Stay tuned.”
Of course, this could change, but here’s hoping they make that announcement.
As Gamescom is open from the 15th till the 19th August, with the announcement could take place anywhere between then, however we can’t wait to hear more on the tantalising prospect of playing Strangers Wrath on our PS Vita – especially if it’s as well done as the PS3 release was.
