Bethesda have announced that new Skyrim DLC Hearthfire will be releasing on Xbox 360 next week.

From September 4th you’ll be able to download Hearthfire and begin to live out the heroes dream of creating your own home.

This home won’t just be used for housing treasures and all that loot you’ve acquired along your travels though. After you’ve built your home you can then add alchemy towers, greenhouses, fisheries, literally everything you could need for that super-sized Skyrim hero.

Now you’ve got a home to call your own, you can then adopt a child with your wonderful partner and raise them as your own. Dovahkiin may be able to slay dragons, but can they deal with the dangers of parenthood?

Essentially it sounds like The Sims done Bethesda’s way. Although, when a game already has enough content to last you a lifetime, what more can you add?

There’s no word on Hearthfire for PS3 – what a surprise – but we’ll update you if we hear anything. For now though enjoy the whimsical trailer below.
