Multiplayer gaming is undeniably on the rise, and companies want you to interact with other gamers even if you want to or not.
Following in the footsteps of the incredibly popular Dark Souls model, Resident Evil 6 will let you invade your friends worlds.
In a mode known as Agent Hunt, Famitsu (via Andriasang) offered some scant details about what you can expect when you switch on your game while connected to the internet.
Once you finish Resident Evil 6 you unlock the Agent Hunt mode, when you replay the game again humans can come in and take control of other B.O.W.s or J’avos – with a message onscreen alerting you to the takeover. It is then up to them to sully the experience for a returning player by essentially killing them as much as possible.
Agent mode also features voice chat and leaderboards so you can complete and collaborate with other monster puppeteers.
Nicely though, Capcom have made it a gameplay option, meaning you can re-visit Resident Evil 6 with the feature off if you just want to play the game again for fun.
Resident Evil 6 launches on October 2nd on PS3 and Xbox 360 with a PC release slated for later, it also now features Ada Wong.
