It’s Thursday, and according to an email resting in our inboxes, that means it’s the day for an eShop update roundup!
Unlike last time, not a whole lot has been thrown into Nintendo’s online shop this week, so expect a fairly short summery – though with this month officially being “A Month of Mario”, you can probably expect to see more of the plumber over the next few weeks.
(please note: Month of Mario is not a planet recognised calendar event)
To kick start the month that Mario may have actually hijacked, Super Mario Land hits the 3DS eShop today. Through August 2-8th you can nab Mario’s debut Gameboy title for just $2.99.
You’re only getting one Mario game this week, you’ve had enough already Nintendo says, so instead they’re offering another alternative supply of red-capped plumber goodness with a new video series. Available now is the first part in this weekly series giving you a chance to tour some of the stages from the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. 2.
Moving on from the Mushroom Kingdom we have the launch of “The Lost Town – The Jungle” to give you DSi owners a reason to hit that app on your main screen. You’ll have to use your elite combat skills to locate and destroy a mysterious meteorite that seems to have cursed the nearby villagers and wildlife into a state of insanity. You 3DS owners can also go and grab this from the DSi section of the eShop!
Last on the list comes “Dinosaur Office: Coffee Run“, a quirky claymation addition to the Nintendo Video section this week. Apparently a shortage of coffee is more of a worry than the extinction of the prehistoric race!
