A new update to the still ongoing Android powered hackable Ouya console Kickstarter has arrived, and with it a raft of new information and some new images that show just how small the cuboid box of brushed steel will be.
The first image shows off the console unit itself and compares it with a hand pressing the power button on the top of the device. The second image shows off the rather micro controller too. Going from the images, it looks as if this will be a small package indeed – unless these are some giant hands holding everything, personally we hope it isn’t too small.
Other news released in the update mentions how the Ouya team have joined forces with powerful open-source media hub XMBC.
If that wasn’t enough, Ouya also announced a partnership with TuneIn, a free service that lets you listen to music, sports and news via over 70,000 stations across 230 countries.
A new website, www.ouya.tv, will also launch when the Kickstarter comes to an end in 34 hours time.
Currently the total stands at a record breaking $7,174,371.
Square-Enix have also shown their support for the console by bringing Final Fantasy III to it.
