Today a 25th Anniversary event for Metal Gear took place, and a brand new next-generation entry into the Metal Gear Solid series was announced.
Known as Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, this new entry seems to follow on from Peace Walker and could feature an open-world to explore and sleuth around in.

Interestingly, series creator Hideo Kojima confirmed that Columbia Pictures is working on a Metal Gear Solid movie – which will no doubt be a very long film if Kojima gets his way. It’ll be produced by Avi Arad, who’s previously worked on Iron Man, The Amazing Spider Man and The Incredible Hulk.
