When the games have all been played, thumbs are weary and the doors of Gamescom have closed after a busy week many journalists and gamers decide to fly home back to Britain – or wherever they’re from.
However, for a team of representatives from NCsoft, Indigo Pearl, Get Games, PlayStation Network, Future Publishing, Steel Series and Kalypso Media are ditching the plane, trains and automobiles method of travel and are hopping on their bikes for charity!
The team will be riding 352 miles over three days from Cologne, Germany to Brighton, England. They’ll be cycling for roughly 10 to 15 hours a day, which is no mean feat at all. It’s all in aid of a very good cause though, GamesAid.
They set off at 5am on Saturday, August 18th and arrive in – what is sure to be – sunny Britain on Monday August 20th.
Last year £2,461 was raised by NCsoft’s Cat Channon and GamesRadar’s Nathan Irvine. This year the team have already raised £4,533.
However you can help them raise even more by heading over to their JustGiving page and helping out.
