EA Sports have finally given out some information about what FIFA 13 for Wii U will play like, and how it utilises that unique slab of plastic that is the Wii U GamePad.
In the latest issue of ONM all the tasty details were spilled, including an interesting feature that allows you to shake the GamePad to activate Touch Screen Shooting.
Utilising the screen in the Game Pad also means that it can be used as an alternative view for set pieces and penalties when lifted to the screen. You then perform free kicks from the viewpoint of the player taking it – adding an extra layer of immersion.
Other features include touch screen tackling and the ability to switch directly to any player on the pitch just by tapping on their location. Passing can also be handled via the tablet so you can execute a whole new array of fancy footwork.
A new Team Management Control option has also been brought in that allows you to see all the options open to you and your team, as well as change tactics, formations and substitutions; and if you wanted to get even more involved, the Manage Match mode lets you give half-time pep talks and manage from the side-lines of the pitch.
The GamePad also means that five players can now play at once in FIFA 13‘s co-op mode, with one person managing the team and the others playing onscreen.
While more information and screenshots are shown in the latest issue of ONM, it should be mentioned that the screenshots being shown over on their site look pretty impressive, easily on par with Xbox 360 and PS3.

I just can’t wait for it anymore. Eagerly waiting for this new launch, very excited.
