Tired of trying to game on a tablet’s virtual controls? ARCHOS, the company that’s made a slew of portable media products, has jumped into the gaming fray, and with their GamePad tablet, they hope to fix the problems of controls on tablets.
The new GamePad looks a lot like a PSP, but under the hood is an Android-powered (4.0), dual core (1.5Ghz) gaming tablet with a capacitive screen **and** physical controls. Since this is a full tablet, not just a gaming rig, you’ll also have access to the Google Play store to download apps, check email and more.
ARCHOS aims to get the GamePad into retail this October, at a price of “less than €150 Euros” (about $189 USD).
