Developed by Firaxis Games, strategy title XCOM: Enemy Unknown has been given a release date by 2K games.

Set to release in the US on 9th October, EU gamers can get hold of the title on the 12th October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

If you decided to pre-order this rather snazzy looking reboot then you’ll bag yourself an Elite Soldier Pack that gives you soldiers modelled on the original XCOM game, Soldier Deco packs and a variety of colour customisation options.

The picture of the Elite Soldier pack (below) shows the female Hyperion Armor, Reaper Armour, Heavy Carapace Armour and the original X- COM soldier in Reaper Armour.

The Special Edition version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown is only available on PC and will include an art bok, poster, XCOM insignia patch and some digital items like the soundtrack, wallpaper and other bits and bobs.
