Despite the efforts to create a meaningful adventure for the franchise, it seems that Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead game just hasn’t ticked all the right boxes for some consumers – a move that Activision are hoping they will manage to fill.
Developed by Terminal Reality, the same folks behind Ghostbusters, and published by Activision, a FPS offshoot of The Walking Dead AMC TV series is set for release on PS3 Xbox 360 and PC.
This means that the Activision reboot is actually more of a re-imagining as it focuses not on the comic storyline – like Telltale games’ does – but instead on the TV show’s.
You’ll be playing as Daryl Dixon and his hick of a brother Merle as they head to Atlanta on a “haunting” and “unforgiving quest.” According to IGN, resource management and stealth play a big part in it, and NPC interaction is also crucial.
