Every year Sony hold a pre-Gamescom Conference to showcase what will be around on the show floor, and usually they use it as an opportunity to reveal new hardware to the press.

Held at the Staatenhaus am Rheinpark, Cologne at 7:00pm on August 14th, it seems that we could finally see this much rumoured ‘super slim’ PS3 be confirmed officially.

Previous events have shown the reveal of the PS3 Slim and the European only budget PSP so it seems more than likely the announcement would be made at the event.
