In a press release from Konami, it has been revealed that the upcoming patch that brings trophy support for the title, will in fact bring 34 trophies.

“As part of the continuing celebrations of the METAL GEAR series’ 25th anniversary, Kojima Productions has revisited its best-selling title to add 34 new Trophies to the game,” the press release reveals.

News from Andriasang also shows that the budget release coming to Japan will also have a full install option, allowing for all 4.5 gigs to be put onto the hard drive at once – meaning you wont have to install each act individually as you reach it.

No news on the new patch bringing in this support to old copies has been mentioned, it could come later on though.
