While it’s annoying to class something as a rumour when we’re staring at the proposed product all across the internet. Alas, until RIM actually confirm it’s existance, the images floating around today of a supposed 10-inch version of their Playbook tablet PC are nothing but unconfirmed – possbiley fake – snapshots of a piece of plastic.
Still, we like the idea. The world has been speculating Apple’s entrance to the smaller end of the tablet market with a 7″ iPad for years, and since RIM have had their 7″ Blackberry Playbook in stores for the past few years, maybe they’re really about to enter the opposite end with a larger 10.1″ version of their own portable computer.
Until RIM bother to confirm it we can’t really say anything for sure, but 10-inch tablets are rather nice, and after the 2.0 software update to the Playbook, it became a pretty solid machine and easily the better choice for tablet buyers on a budget.
