After small whispers about Gran Turismo 6 being in production, Polyphony Digital developer Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed the games existence.
Speaking at a China Joy event in Beijing, Yamauchi confirmed that the studio had been hard at work on the title since GT5 had been released in 2010. Interestingly though, he very subtly hinted that GT6 may actually end up on PS4.
“We’re always aiming for the latest technology and the latest expression,” said Yamauchi, according to Andriasang.
He also mentioned that if they were going to bring Grand Turismo to the PS Vita they would focus on making is so multiplayer was possible everywhere.
“If we were to make it, we’d like to make use of the ability to play anywhere and the ability to use 3G at any time,” he said.
Until more news arrives, you can satisfy your GT urges with the announcement of a Gran Turismo 5 Academy Edition
