Nearly an hours worth of footage on the now cancelled Free Radical Design Battlefront III project has emerged.

The video appeared on Past to Present (via Eurogamer) and shows off levels such as Cloud City, Tatooine and the Death Star. Galactic Conquest levels also seem to be spread across a vast time period in the Star Wars universe.

The video shows off a lot of new features, such as surface-to-space technology, and brings in speeder bike racing amongst other things.

The project was canned by Lucasarts, and was apparently in development for a couple of years – however the footage shown here is clearly rough pre-alpha content.
