Capcom confirmed yesterday that console players will soon have a summer of brawling ahead of them as 12 new playable characters arrive to the Street Fighter x Tekken arenas.  Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura all made the cut for the Street Fighter side as Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack-X, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong all migrate over from the Tekken side. Maybe they thik the characters can show more depth over Street Fighter with their surnames – who knows.

In addition to that news, Capcom have also confirmed that all who order the first batch of Street Fighter x Tekken PSVita game versions will earn themselves two codes allowing them to transfer their DLC to the PS3 versions of the games too. Not too bad for you devotees. One code will unlock the 12 new characters whereas the second will award players with some additional costumes for the core roster. And lastly, anyone who pre-orders the Vita version of the game will be treated to alternate costumes for all of the above 12 character too!

The DLC alone will set sole PS3 players back another $19.99 or 1600 Microsoft points come July 31st. And all PSVita/PS3 DLC will transfer back and forth between each other.
