Launched quietly under the radar, Capcom & Slant Six have finally release a new patch for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The patch features a great amount of changed and improved content and it comes around at 5mb to download.
Since launch, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has been plagued with issues like matchmaking performance, dumb AI, and imbalanced weapons to name a few.
After seeing the list of improvements and changes, it is funny how this patch wasn’t advertised. Only the people who still played RE: ORC or checked the CAPCOM Unity forums would have known about the patch.
Here is the full detail listed:
-Improved matching. Easier to connect and added each user’s NAT info to main menu for easier troubleshooting.
-Matchmaking from invites improved.
-Ally AI improved
-Enemy AI and responses improved
-Adjusted various elements of weaponry, including ammo count, knockdown distance, weapon respawn times etc
-Improved aiming/fire accuracy
-Items can be picked up while dashing
-Infinite CQC combo addressed (can’t string together endless attacks)
-Players can take cover immediately following a dive
-Also a fair number of bugs addressed
This patch was released three days ago on all platforms.

In reality this game isn’t that bad, is it perfect NO. But it’s actually pretty fun. I think people just want to jump on the hate ORC bandwagon. And the people who couldn’t grasp the concept that it was a squad based shooter set in the RE universe not a resident evil game
