During the Nintendo Direct segment on their official website they held a random conference to announce a whole slew of great things coming for Nintendo fans. One of which is the highly rumored and anticipated Nintendo 3DS revamp now officially called Nintendo 3DS XL.
It seems that Nintendo has found yet another way to slap early adopters across the face (Ambassador program doesn’t really help, since none of those games really take advantage of the 3DS capabilities) with the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS XL along with a sexy $199 price point for North America. If that wasn’t enough the revamped console will debut in around a month and a half on August 19th in North America.
The 3DS XL now has a 90% larger screen so you little ones can harm their retina’s with 3D faster. In all honesty, it looks great and it might be something I get when the price drops a little more, the real surprise here is why Nintendo chose not to include the additional thumb-pad on the right hand side which is now barren and empty.
