The pink fluffball that is Kirby – is he fluffy? – is turning 20 soon and in celebration Nintendo are releasing a 20th Anniversary collection for the Wii with six titles from his youth.
Spanning from his Game Boy origins all the way up to his days on the N64, the six games should cover the best bits for fans of the series.
Japan’s CoroCoro magazine revealed the list ahead of its July 19th release, still no word on a Western release yet though.
Here’s what you’ll get in the box:
- Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy)
- Kirby’s Adventure (NES)
- Kirby’s Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)
- Kirby Super Star (SNES)
- Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (SNES)
- Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
We’re assuming that it’ll come in a similar form to that of the Mario 25th anniversary collection.

I am surprise to see 2 Gameboy games on there as until now till Gameboy emulation was 3DS-only and off limits to the Wii. Likeway the 3DS did get a NES games which were supposed to be Wii-Only at first so I guess both Home Console and Handheld do get in each other games in rare cases very much like Imports. Athough the rest are just copy and paste of existing Wii Virtual Console service Emulators/ROMS so a Wii Gameboy Emulator is the only thing they have to worry about on here.
