According to information gained from Gamesindustry.biz, God of War director Cory Barlog has joined Square-Enix studio Crystal Dynamics.
Barlog will be working on a new Tomb Raider title, as apposed to the one still in development, and will also be working on a “yet to be announced title”.
“Crystal has pulled together some of the best teams in the industry to deliver against upcoming projects and future IP,” said Darrell Gallagher, head of studio.
“Cory’s heritage in building industry defining action adventure titles, together with our focus on delivering quality character driven blockbuster entertainment makes Cory a tremendously exciting addition to the team.”
Barlog worked on the God of War series after David Jaffe. He worked as the writer and director on God of War 2, creative director for Chains of Olympus and was the story lead for Ghost of Sparta. He definitely has an intimidating resume and so should really add some flair to upcoming Crystal Dynamics games.
