The first images from Assassins Creed 3 have arrived, and boy does it look good.
We’re unsure if these are gameplay graphics or not, but going from what Ubisoft said of making the next Assassin’s Creed look like a next-generation game on this generation, it’s highly possible they are.
They tease some interesting gameplay moments, such as canoeing and the snow covered town could be a hint at dynamic weather? We’re just as unsure as anybody else, but these six screens are beautiful.
I love how it looks like they’ve done away with the hidden blade in favour of a tomahawk. Everything about this game made me interested in Assassin’s Creed again.
Getting rid of the hidden blade wouldn’t make any sense given how iconic it’s become at this point. And with careful observation, one can see in many of the screens that have been released that his bracer clearly has a hidden blade attached. There’s even one screen out where he’s standing on some tree branches above a procession of British soldiers with is hidden blade not retracted.
I’m invested in the Assassins Creed story arc and found Ezio & Altair to be great characters. I’ll enjoy playing as Connor and this game looks very refreshing. If this ends Desmond’s story, then this could also be my last AC game, as it should complete the current series. This is definitely one to watch
