Only the other day Namco Bandai released a rather questionable advert for Soul Calibur V that used the allure of Ivy’s buxom breasts to draw in the punters. It was a move that honestly wasn’t needed, in fact all it really served to do was cheapen the entire Soul Calibur name. Now however Namco Bandai have released a second advert, but due to complaints over Facebook have pulled it from the site. What was so bad about this advert then? Have a look below.

If you can’t tell what exactly you’re seeing, then let us enlighten you, it’s Voldo’s crotch-plate. Yes that gyrating poster boy for sadomasochism was the latest target for their ad campaign, and if you’re wondering, the Japanese on the advert says ‘curious?’. Well by the looks of their Facebook page, a lot of punters weren’t curious, instead they were furious.
It seems that on the wondrous people on the internet are still as immature as a 14 year old boy. It’s fine to advertise a game with some frankly demeaning advert of a lass showing her ‘assets’ but the moment the same advert template is used with a guy, then woah it’s too far for their minds to comprehend. Clearly thanks to this advert instead of being ‘turned on’ by the prospect of playing Soul Calibur V they were repulsed, for shame Namco Bandai for trying to be fair in your advertising campaign.
If, like any sane person, you don’t give to hoots about the adverts for Soul Calibur V and are still interested in the game, we’ve got plenty of screenshots and videos of the game all over the site, ready and waiting for its February 3rd release date!
