To celebrate the launch of Soul Calibur V on February 3rd, Namco Bandai UK are starting the search for the UK’s top Soul Calibur V player. SC fans will be given the chance to attend the launch party for SCV at The Chapel Bar in Islington from 12-6pm on Saturday 4th February, where some of the worlds largest fighting game champions will be in attendance.

If that wasn’t enough there will be a limited free bar, and some matches will be streamed online via www.twitch.tv/namcobandaiuk.

Mad Catz will be showing off their Soul Calibur V Edition arcade sticks and bringing along top UK and French players Ryan Heart (Prodigal Son) and Maurie-Laure Norindr (Kayane), who will be doling out tips and taking part in exhibition matches.

This event is the start of a nationwide search for the best Soul Calibur V player, that will wrap up on March 16th at a secret location with a whole host of prizes to be won.

Details for registration will be released soon and the winner of this leg of the competition will go on to take part in the EU finals in london too.
