Modern Warfare 3 and the 5000 Day Ban

Nothing screams Happy Holidays more than one of those cheerful 14 year bans. You know the ones, they’ve been so popular lately with all the cool kids. Oh, wait no, no I don’t think anybody has been giving out 14 year bans… Except Infinity Ward have.

Yes, in the words of creative strategist Rob Bowling, if you are caught ”Boosting, Cheating, Hacking, Exploiting, Inappropriate behaviour (racial slurs, abusive language, etc),” then you’re going to get banned. One unfortunate player found this out already, and has suffered at the hands of the ‘permaban’

It seems unfortunate that it has had to come to 5000 days/14 years worth of banning to stop the multiplayer hackers and cheaters but if it improves the game environment and keeps the idiots off the servers then it can only be a good thing.

What is stopping a blocked user just creating another account so they can feed their Modern Warfare hunger? What’s your take on it though, is 14 years just a little bit too long?

5000 days = permaban! Boosting, Cheating, Hacking, Exploiting this should be for ONLY – not petty inappropriate behaviour

good theyre taking action on foul play, Hopefully now maybe they will start to actually balance the weapons, fix the hit detection and fix the spawn issues too. theyre all terrible!

I guess whoever tries to cheat in the game or act inappropriately deserves to get a temporary ban, but for 14 years?? The next generation consoles will be out by then. Might as well just create a new account.
