It seems once you gear up to play Activisions new X-Men romp, X-Men Destiny you are greeted on the Playstation 3 with a mandatory install screen that is pretty big for a comic book licensed title.

Upon inserting the game into your Playstation 3 you are forced to download a 4893MB install. That is just about 5 gigs worth of install. The install is reported as taking as long as 20 minutes on some users Playstation 3′s. Granted this may be faster on newer models or some with more HDD space, but still this is almost ridiculous.

What do you guys think? Is this too much for a comic book game? Or is this entire Playstation 3 install and update thing getting out of hand now. X-Men: Destiny is out now on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, DS and Wii.
