EA have confirmed that Fifa 12 will be coming at the end of September this year.
The game will release on September 27th in America and September 30th in Europe. Sure that makes sense, give it to the place you are going to sell most last, that is a bit like Europe getting Madden before America. The Fifa games, in my opinion, don’t really change that much year after year so I personally don’t think I will be picking up the game at launch, will you?
Fifa 12 will release on well….basically everything you can play games on.
Has this only been properly announced? We’ve been told Sept 30th for about a month now at work so we can get people interested in the Ultimate Edition (Which isn’t anywhere near as awesome as the name would suggest.)
Fifa isn’t my thing at all but Fifa 12 does genuinely look interesting. Its being made by the proper Fifa team (there are two teams, every other year the innovative team bring something new to the table, on the alternate years (09,11,13 etc) the other team just redoes the team rosters and tightens gameplay) so this years release will boast better visuals and controls as well as a completely new and very interesting collision detection script. It means that now the footballer reacts accordingly to a tackle in a dynamic way instead of just following a set script pattern. Just means a match wont play out in fixed ways and you never really know what to expect when trying to tackle etc. May seem like nothing major but for a sports game its pretty big, I imagine EA will put it into the new Madden as thats contact heavy.
I won’t repeat my Fifa history like I normally do in my Fifa related comments, but I will say that me and my cousins still play Fifa 09 and still get amazing fun and plenty of oooohs & aaaaaahhs out of it. But I think it’s time to move onto Fifa 12.
Fifa 09 was the prime of the original design which begun from Fifa 05 and it still had the acradey ‘play how you want’ freedom.
Fifa 10 became too real for my liking and Fifa 11 was a Fifa 10+ version, but Fifa looks like the next level again, and even though it holds Fifa 10 formula at base, I may just have to upgrade
Unless I get to try this at a friends house or something, I highly doubt I will get it. Ya it looks good, but what else has really been added?
