If you were a fan of the Batman: Arkham Asylum game, we have some news for you which is likely to put a smile on your face. It looks likely that Batman will be joined by a familiar face in the upcoming Arkham City title, as an exclusive pre-order DLC character with retailers Best Buy.
That familiar face which we’re referring to and most of you can probably guess is – good ol’ Robin. Yes, according to an image leak, he will be featured in Batman:Arkham City as a playable character in two challenge maps.
Those of you who played the challenge maps mode in Arkham Asylum will know just how refreshing they were, so the idea of being able to play as Robin with his appearance and abilities is a prospect many of you will be relishing for sure.
You can see the leaked image in question over at CVG here. It’s worth pointing out the listing over at Best Buy was removed shortly after this became public knowledge, but not for the first time – Google’s cache saved the day once again.
Batman Arkham City is on my list of top games to play this autumn/winter period. I remember Arkham Asylum well and if this is anywhere close to that title, then all Batman fans are heading for a massive treat. The Robin addition is another cherry on the Caped Crusader cake.
If you haven’t played Batman Arkham Asylum yet, you can pick up the GOTY edition for £9.99 from Play or Amazon, and this will include traditional 3D glasses to play the title in 3D without the need for a 3D TV. This was released after I complete Arkham Asylum, thus didn’t get to do it in 3D. If any of you guys did play it in 3D, pls let me know what it was like.
I’m holding my breath for a 3D glasses option with Arkham City too, but nothing has been mentioned yet. Until something real is announced, I’ll just keep on dreaming
It’s amazing how long I’ve had this game, ever since the release, but completely forgot about it!! It’s been somewhere dug in the pile of the rest of my games! I don’t know why it is though, it is such a great game. And these new characters sounds great. I will certainly look in to getting the dlc.
