Playstation Move Games Get Mediocre Reviews

With September 19th vastly approaching the Playstation Move is already getting reviewed by some of the larger media websites. Websites like IGN and Endgadget already have their reviews of the long awaited motion controller for the PS3 already posted and the general consistence is, “It’s a gadget with potential,” said IGN.

An adorable little guy

The motion controller definitely has some of the usual bugs you will expect to see from a device straight out of  launch but its biggest let down so far is the games. None of us here at TGH have had a chance to review or try out any of them since E3–I believe–so its hard to give you OUR opinion if the device and the games are a worth while purchase at launch.  Games like Eyepet are a great casual gamers dream if they are looking to have an adorable companion to play with without the hassle of picking up its shit and feeding it. Yet with games like Sports Champion IGN says, ” the experience starts to feel like the same-old-same-old pretty quick.”

Haven't we seen this before?

Reviews on the device its self indicate that the device is truly a lot more accurate than the Wii’s controller, but has some problems when it comes to brightly lit rooms. Making you re-adjust your Move system again and again.

“Move could prove to be a great way to add new gameplay experiences to the PlayStation 3 and attract new, more casual players.”

Yet were going to have to wait till the hardware actually comes out on October 21st with a price range of around 50-100 dollars US.

it comes out that late in the US? it launches here in the UK, and I assume Europe on the 17th September. I’ve got my pre-order down and im going to grab one when it comes out, I’ll stick my first impressions up here for you guys to read. Also at work a Sony Rep came in demoing it for us to see and it does look very responsive and impressive, he was using it on Tiger Woods 11 and you can browse through the XMB with it too. It looked nice and the remotes have a nice feel and comfort to them and with a not too expensive price tag I can imagine it selling well when it launches. Over here in the UK it launches with the standard new family Move titles but also some game relaunches and some new games supposedly coming out soon too.

Well it’s a shame that the Move is getting such mediocre scores, the only review I’ve seen is from IGN & the last time I checked, an 8.5 is a very good score. Oh well, I’l check out these other reviews & see what they think. :)

I would like to apologize to our readers. I miss titled the title of this article by calling it PS Move gets mediocre reviews. When I meant to call it PS Move games get mediocre reviews. This caused some confusion in the public eye and was my fault. I sincerely apologize to the readers. This will never happen again.
