Care To Dance Mr Darcy?
It seems using old pieces of music to launch your products is becoming the fashion these days. Rather than do what Bioshock 2 did and take their music from the 1920′s however, DICE went one step further. Yesterday DICE released the launch trailer for there Modern Warfare multiplayer rival Battlefield: Bad Company 2, it consists of little over a minute of slow motion in-game combat footage overlaid with Johann Strauss’ 1866 piece The Blue Danube. Interesting mix. It is speculated that when EA’s reboot of Medal of Honour is released later this year it’s launch trailer music will be a caveman banging two stones together. Music aside though the trailer does a great job showing off the beauty of DICE’s online first-person fragfest. If you live in the US then the game’s already out(lucky you) but those of us in the EU and UK will have to wait till Friday. Click the link below to check out the trailer.
