Before you guys start calling me a fanboy for writing this article. There is a 5 Reasons FFXIII Will Be Better On 360. Plus I own both, and my girlfriend would kill me if I got it on anything other than a PS3 because she’s been a fan since they were Nintendo’s titles. Now on with the list!
Note: Some info in this article is strictly guessing, and wishful thinking not confirmed.
5: Every Other FF Game Since VII!- That’s right ever Final Fantasy game since the classic and beloved Final Fantasy VII has been exclusive to Sony’s platform which proves Sony knows how to do FF games right? (Final Fantasy X-2 was a figment of your imagination)
4: It Was Finished First- If the devs are to be believed the said the game was finished on PS3 first because of the Japan release, so that means they had more time to fine tune the game until the 360 version was done so it should come out as the superior version one would suspect. Time will tell.
3: The Cell Processor/Blu-Ray- I’m going to combine these into one bullet for good reason. They both make examples of superior technology, but does it make a difference? The Blu-ray allows it to be on ONE disc rather than multiple dvds which have less storage capacity. So that’s a plus. We don’t know if Square managed to get all that they can out of the Cell yet, we will have to hope that since they had the extra time and they both used different graphical engines that the game will be superior on the PS3.
2: The Controller- Most gamers are used to playing the Final Fantasy series on a Sony branded system with their patented controller, so people will be more keen to their button setup and more adapt to roam and level up. The D-pad is worlds superior to the finicky D pad on the 360 in my opinion.
1: Load Times- It has been said there are a lot of loading screens, so with the power of the PS3 those load times will be shorter and to the point. Especially with the Blu-Ray drive and the power of the PS3.
Whatever platform you choose. The game is going to be FIRE! Straight up amazing. So everyone, have fun reading and discussing this on our comments and our forums. Let the rivalry commence.
